The VulCon Way & aWake Community Present:
VulCon Psychedelic Facilitator Training & Retreats
One Path. Two Sessions. A True Initiation.

Facilitation is not learned in theory.
Hands-on training is essential before ever holding 1:1 sessions in your community.
The truth is, the psychedelic world is blowing up — but too many facilitators are skipping the deep work, the safety protocols, and the soul.
That’s where we come in.
The VulCon Way is a next-level training path for people ready to serve medicine with trauma-informed care, clinical safety, and sacred reverence.
We are passionate about training space-holders who are serious about doing this right.
And now, you can join us in a program designed to nourish your own soul and ensure that your calling as a facilitator is grounded in safety, integrity, and experience.

Module 1: Foundations in Psychedelics and Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness
Introduction to the VulCon Way world of psychedelics and non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC) facilitation. This module explores the historical, indigenous, ethical, and legal dimensions of this constantly evolving field, providing students with a solid foundation in understanding the diverse history and the complexities of providing safe and responsible guidance in this realm.
Module 2: Clinical Foundations of Psychedelics and NOSC Facilitation
This module equips students with the essential clinical skills and knowledge to assess and prepare clients for their journey into psychedelics and non-ordinary states. It emphasizes safety, ethics, effective pre-assessment/ assessment techniques, intuition, and includes setting expectations, touch standards and potential mental health concerns and contraindications. This module helps to ensure that students can create a secure, clinically informed, supportive environment for their clients, with primary focus on harm reduction and client suitability.
This module also weaves in preparatory skills for holding the sacred elements of the NOSC/psychedelic journey.
Module 3: Foundational VulCon Counseling Skills in Psychedelics and NOSC States
Learn foundational, professional and clinical VulCoaching and VulCounseling skills required to guide participants through both safe and sacred transformative spaces of psychedelics and NOSC experiences. This module equips students to navigate the unique and sometimes challenging landscapes of psychedelics and NOSC sessions in order to provide effective participant support. By providing these fundamental techniques of coaching and counseling skills for psychedelics facilitation, students are armed with the unique skill-sets that best support their participants in feeling safe and seen, in order to receive deeply transformative and soulful care.
Module 4: Foundations of Animism, Ancestral Wisdom, Ceremony and the Science of Psychedelics
This module delves into the sacred and ceremonial aspects of working with psychedelics and NOSC. It explores various ancient and cross-cultural elements of ceremony including rituals, practices, sacred allyship, nature-based practices, intuition, sound, and other tools that support the student in facilitating authentic, sacred, and transformative experiences.
Students will also delve deep into the science behind sacred medicines, gaining a profound understanding of their healing potentials. This rigorous educational journey covers everything from pharmacology to the historical and cultural contexts of these substances, ensuring that our learners not only grasp the theoretical aspects but also understand the practical applications of this knowledge. By integrating this scientific insight with sacred space facilitation techniques, our program empowers students to confidently apply their learning in creating and managing sacred spaces. This comprehensive approach ensures that our facilitators are well-equipped to guide others through transformative experiences, bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern science.

The VulCon Way's emerging facilitators are a powerful mix of humans—licensed clinicians, therapists, healers, ceremonial leaders, energy workers, and seekers who feel called to hold space with integrity.
Some arrive with years of clinical training under their belts. Others carry deep roots in spiritual traditions, shamanic practice, or community ceremony.
No matter their path, they all share one thing:
A fire go deeper by to blending safety with soul, protocol with presence, the clinical with the mystical.
Our students are united by reverence for the sacred and traditional origins of psychedelic medicine, and a commitment to carrying that lineage forward with the highest standards of care.
This is the community you’ll step into: diverse, devoted, and fiercely committed to changing the way psychedelic facilitation is done.

Meet Your Instructors and Mystresses of Ceremony, Mandi and Corin.
Corin Grillo, MA, LMFT is a Marriage and Family Therapist, an internationally renowned Transformational Leader, Author, and Educator. Her roots are from Puerto Rico, while her Chicana side hails from East Los Angeles.
She graduated from UCLA in Cultural Anthropology, and received her Master’s Degree in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA. She has also trained with California Institute of Integrated Studies and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (MAPS).
Her passion for cross-cultural indigenous studies began in undergraduate school, as did her passion for psychology, ritual, and altered states of consciousness.
After years of supporting clients as a traditional psychotherapist, her career transitioned to facilitating and mentoring others in intuitive healing, ritual, and ceremony. This transition was ignited by a mystical experience that put her in direct relationship with her guides and angels. This profound event led her to shamanic, ceremonial, and plant medicine work which deepened her relationship with the intelligences of the natural world, the ancestral world, and the allies of the spiritual realms.
For over a decade, Corin has led ceremonial retreats and has educated coaches, healers, nurses, doctors, and therapists in sacred leadership. She supports both practitioners and non-practitioners in exploring, opening, and expanding their intuitive senses, natural healing abilities, and creating an authentic relationship with spirit through ritual, ceremony, and nature-based immersions.

Because of her far-reaching work, Corin has been featured as an expert on Gaia and countless other syndicated media outlets, radio shows, and podcasts all over the world.
She is a co-founder and Chief Luminary with the aWake Community, a non-dogmatic, inclusive registered church that actively works to deconstruct toxic patriarchal religious harm, and offers its community members a safe, non-judgemental, organic pathway to explore sacred communion with their authentic self, and the divinity and healing power of nature, the ancestors, and plant sacraments.
She is also the proprietor of Casa Condor, a retreat center in the sacred lands of Mount Shasta, California which is the primary sanctuary of the aWake Community.

Mandi Stevenson, LMFT is a seasoned professional who seamlessly blends psychology with holistic healing practices. With a background in Modern Dance (B.F.A.) and a Counseling Psychology degree (M.A.) from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Mandi brings a wealth of experience to her work.
She began her career in private practice, helping clients ranging from children to couples, and addressing various issues including domestic violence and substance abuse. In 2014, she shifted her focus to specialize in assisting adults with substance dependence and mental wellness concerns. Throughout her career, Mandi has excelled in various roles, from primary therapist to clinical director, spanning residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment programs. Her innovation extends to startup initiatives, where she developed multiple clinical treatment protocols.
Today, Mandi operates a thriving private practice, with expertise in trauma-informed care, substance use dependence, and integration work post Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness experiences. She's presented at multiple conferences on psychedelics and research and co-teaches courses on the interplay of Alchemy and Shamanism practices.
Mandi's impressive training includes EMDR certification, completion of the California Institute of Integral Studies' program for Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies and Research, and ongoing studies in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and neurofeedback. Her deep interest in Shamanic Witchcraft, particularly Aromatics, reflects her commitment to holistic healing and spiritual exploration.
Beyond her clinical work, Mandi is a co-founder and Chief Luminary of the aWake Community, a non-dogmatic registered church dedicated to deconstructing harmful religious norms. This community provides a safe space for exploring sacred connections with the self, nature, alchemy, and ancestral roots.
With a profound understanding of the human psyche and Alchemy, Mandi is passionately devoted to guiding individuals on their wellness journey. Her approach is grounded in depth psychology and an integrative framework, ensuring each person's unique path is embraced and celebrated.
